India is 3rd among top source market of the US

The US welcomed 433,305 Indians in 2021 marking a 29 per cent rise from 2020

The United States National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) has said that Indian visitors to the US rank at the third spot in the number of international tourist arrivals globally between January and December 2021. The US welcomed 433,305 Indians in 2021 marking a 29 per cent rise from 2020.

 

Of the total number of travellers, most Indians travelled to the US for leisure purposes (55.4 per cent), followed by student travellers (33.4 per cent) and business travellers (11.3 per cent) during the January-December 2020 period.

In a statement released by the Brand USA India team, the tourism promotion and marketing agency said that it continued to keep the travel trade and media informed, inspired, and engaged throughout the pandemic with the help of a series of webinars, travel trade briefings, market updates and one-on-one meetings on its virtual platform, Global Marketplace, Brand USA.

Brand USA also pointed out that the Indian market outperformed other international territories in the USA Discovery Program which is its official travel agent training platform with Indian travel agents completing most number of badges (modules).
