Air India, one of India’s premier global carriers, has launched ‘Project Abhinandan’ (a Hindi expression of greetings), with the objective of enhancing the personalized and hassle-free on-ground experience for its passengers at major Indian airports.
Under this initiative, Air India has stationed specially trained Service Assurance Officers at 16 key airports across India. These officers will extend support to Air India passengers at various airport touchpoints, including the check-in area, lounges, boarding gates, transit areas, and arrival halls.
Air India’s Service Assurance Officers are adept at identifying passenger concerns and will be strategically positioned to proactively engage with guests, offer assistance, and resolve any issues that may arise. Their training also equips them to handle unexpected situations such as missed flights, delayed baggage delivery, and flight connections.
The initiative marks Air India’s commitment to delivering a more customer-centric and welcoming experience for its passengers
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience & Ground Handling Officer at Air India, emphasized the importance of simplifying the airport experience for passengers, regardless of their travel frequency. He stated, “Project Abhinandan is our earnest endeavor to streamline the airport experience for our passengers, aiming to significantly enhance their overall travel experience. Our goal is to create a sense of ease and welcome for our passengers whenever they choose to fly with us.”
Furthermore, Dogra shared the airline’s vision of continually improving the flying experience and transforming Air India into a world-class airline. He added, “We want our passengers to enjoy the magic of flying seamlessly. ‘Project Abhinandan’ is a significant step toward achieving this vision.”
Air India’s Service Assurance Officers are available to assist any Air India passenger, regardless of their booked cabin class, at the following airports: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Varanasi, and Vishakhapatnam.
These officers complement the existing personnel from both Air India and ground handling agencies, with the airline already having deployed over 100 Service Assurance Officers at various airports. This initiative marks Air India’s commitment to delivering a more customer-centric and welcoming experience for its passengers.
