Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is revising its immigration levels for 2025-27, impacting work permits, study permits, visitor visas, and temporary resident visas.

In 2023, Canada approved over 2.5 million applications for temporary residency, making up 6.2% of the total residency approvals. However, under the revised policy, Canada will reduce temporary residency approvals by 5% over the next three years, signaling a shift in its immigration strategy.
This move follows a significant decline in student visa approvals earlier this year.
