‘Dubai, Ready For a Surprise’ marks celebrity couple’s first destination-led collaboration
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has launched a fresh destination campaign featuring Indian power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, showcasing the city’s evolving charm through a series of personalised, immersive experiences. Titled ‘Dubai, Ready For a Surprise’, the campaign highlights Dubai’s cultural connection with Indian travellers and its versatility as a premier global destination, reported travel.economictimes.indiatimes.com.
Kohli and Sharma take centre stage in DET’s latest initiative to woo Indian tourists with curated experiences and emotional storytelling.
Unveiled by the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), the campaign follows the couple as they surprise one another with unique activities across Dubai—from culinary journeys and cultural outings to adventure sports and tranquil escapes. Their on-screen chemistry blends seamlessly with the city’s narrative, reflecting both familiarity and discovery.
“This collaboration with Virat and Anushka is a natural fit,” said Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing. “Their personal connection with Dubai allows us to present the city through an authentic, emotionally resonant lens.”
Sharma noted how Dubai consistently offers new moments to cherish.
“Every visit to Dubai feels like a new discovery… It is a warm city, extremely comforting yet very exciting,” she said. Kohli echoed the sentiment, praising Dubai for “always feeling just right,” striking a perfect balance between the known and the unexpected.
The campaign is being rolled out across digital, social, and offline platforms, reinforcing DET’s commitment to India, one of its largest and most strategic tourism markets.
