Many in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh are believed to be trapped after a landslide that took place in the Kinnaur district.
As per latest reports, one truck and one Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus came under the landslide rubble. There is no clarity about casualties of people trapped in the rubble.
The Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has started rescue operations along with the state machinery.
The rescue operation is on. National Disaster Response Force (DRF), ITBP, police and local administration is taking part in the rescue operation
Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is monitoring the situation.
“We have received information that one bus and a car could be have been hit…awaiting detailed information,” Thakur said.
Eyewitnesses are apprehending that over 50-60 people may be trapped under debris.
