Share and Care Foundation (SCF) announced Saumil Parikh’s name for the post of president of the Foundation. The Foundation is involved in grassroots development projects in India and the U.S.
Parikh is taking charge from Sharad Shah, who retired in 2021. Shah worked as the Foundation’s president for several years. Suresh Patel, Darshana Gandhi and Sudha Bhansali will be part of Parikh’s team as treasurer, interim chairwoman and secretary respectively.
According to the Foundation’s document, the SCF did more than 400 projects covering all regions of India – Kashmir in the north to Tamil Nadu in south as well as Manipur in the east to Gujarat in west.

“SCF has uplifted lives of over million people,” said the Foundation. The SCF projects covered 16 disasters, including Gujarat and Nepal earthquakes where thousands of people lost their lives and many suffered heavily after losing their livelihood.
“Saumil Parikh represents the young and vibrant generation brought up in the USA,” said a Share and Care press release on Oct. 14, 2021. In his acceptance speech Parikh thanked the entire team of the foundation as well as its patrons, supporters and well-wishers.
