New Delhi has been urging Canada to crack down on pro-Khalistan elements operating with impunity on Canadian soil. Pannun’s threats only reinforce the need for immediate, decisive action against extremist groups like SFJ
Canadian MP Chandra Arya has come under direct threat from Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the general counsel of the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group, after repeatedly criticizing the rise of Khalistani extremism in Canada. Pannun’s public threat follows Arya’s concerns about the increasing violence against Hindus in the country, which Arya has linked to Khalistani extremists.
Arya, speaking in the Canadian Parliament, openly addressed the growing threat of Khalistani extremism, which he believes is driving the violence. His speech emphasized the urgent need for law enforcement to tackle this issue, stating that it must be handled “with an iron hand before it is too late.”
Intelligence sources confirm the growing danger and emphasize the need for the Canadian government, particularly under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, to ensure the protection of minority communities, especially Hindu Canadians who have been increasingly targeted
In a two-minute audio message released after Arya’s speech, Pannun accused the MP of acting on behalf of the Indian government and spreading false information about Khalistan supporters. He called for Arya to be charged with treason and ominously added, “Let’s all wait for the final fate of MP Arya!” This is not the first time Pannun has issued threats—Canadian journalists have also been targeted by suspected Khalistani extremists.
The increasing frequency of violent incidents across the Greater Toronto Area and other parts of Canada has raised serious concerns.
