After months of decline, the Covid-19 curve is rising again in the United States. In fact the number of new cases per day has been doubling last three weeks. While the Delta variant is galloping ahead, the vaccination rate has been lagging, besides the Fourth of July crowds too have happened.

“It is certainly no coincidence that we are looking at exactly the time that we would expect cases to occur after the July Fourth weekend,” said Dr Bill Powderly, co-director of the infectious-disease division at Washington University’s School of Medicine in St Louis.
