Feigl-Ding an epidemiologist and a public health scientist, says the Delta variant, can transmit via merely 5-10 seconds of passive breathing exposure, it will be extremely derelict.
The world is living in hope and despair over the Covid-19 pandemic. While the roll out of the vaccines is giving some hope in some quarters, other reports causing despair as how the world would get rid of the pandemic.
A latest report from a well-known scientist Eric Feigl-Ding suggested an explosive outbreak of Delta Covid-19 Variant in the US in a month’s time. Feigl-Ding is an epidemiologist and a public health scientist.
He put stress on maximum coverage of vaccination and called upon the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure early steps to vaccinate the Americans, as time is running short.
In his series of tweets Feigl-Ding warned, “The US has just one month to act before it becomes full blown Delta variant dominant. One month to slow it down. One month to fully vaccinate.”
He put stress on maximum coverage of vaccination and called upon the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure early steps to vaccinate the Americans, as time is running short.
“But we likely have even less time than that if CDC doesn’t act soon,” Feigl-Ding said.
“The Delta variant is leaps and bounds faster than any other variant known to date. It represents a clear and present danger to the world. This Delta variant surge will not end well for low vaccination areas,” Feigl-Ding said in another tweet.
“If the CDC doesn’t issue new guidelines to stem the growth of #DeltaVariant, which can transmit via merely 5-10 seconds of passive breathing exposure, it will be extremely derelict,” he said.
