Doha-based poetess felicitated With Sahitya Gaurav Award

Dr. Parashar was honoured with this award for her work to promote the Hindi language, and her notable works in literature. 

Doha-based author and poetess Dr. Meenu Parashar was recently felicitated with the prestigious ‘Sahitya Gaurav Award’ at the Bharat Gaurav Award ceremony organised by Sanskruti Yuva Sansthan in Doha

A resident of Qatar  since the last 18 years, She has a doctorate in literature, and is from India’s Uttarakhand State. She has been actively involved in many events and participated in several virtual platforms related to literature globally.

Dr. Parashar launched her second book of poems, “Meri Udan” in August 2021. Her poems focus on the social problems in society and influences and motivates readers to strive for a better tomorrow.

Twenty-eight prominent personalities from 11 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Qatar, UAE, France, Malaysia and India, were felicitated with prestigious awards.

Some of the other awardees include the motivational speaker Padma Shri Gaur Gopaldas, polo player Ashvini Kumar Sharma, Akshaya Patra Foundation’s chairman Padma Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, instrumentalist Padma Bhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Padma Shri Ramkishor Chhipa, Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi, investor banker Saket Mishra and others.

For over 25 years, the Sanskruti Yuva Sanstha has promoted Indian culture and civilisation globally through innovative social programmes.

In 2012, Sanskriti launched the ‘Bharat Gaurav Award’ to felicitate people with extraordinary excellence in their respective fields. The first ceremony was held in 2012 in New Jersey.
