About talks on booster doses, he hinted not all but those with suppressed immune system may have to go for booster doses.

“Booster shots may be suggested for people with suppressed immune systems who have been vaccinated,” Dr Fauci said.

Dr Fauci, who is also serving as Chief Medical Adviser of Joe Biden, said he was part of the meeting on changing the mask guidelines and booster shots.

In an interview with a media channel, Dr Fauci said, “Individuals in some jurisdictions where the cases are on the rise should wear masks in public regardless of their vaccination status.”

There has been a rise in cases in Los Angeles County.
