This initiative, launched under the Dubai Research and Development Program, is a significant milestone in Dubai’s pursuit of global scientific leadership and innovation.

  • Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that research is vital to Dubai’s future, stating that Dubai aspires to be one of the most future-ready cities globally

  • By fostering collaboration between public, private, and academic sectors, the RDI initiative aims to push the boundaries of innovation and make meaningful global impacts

Managed by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), the RDI initiative will provide critical funding to up to 20 research projects, targeting sectors like cognitive cities and health and life sciences.

This program focuses on boosting R&D expenditure, enhancing private sector participation, and fostering public-private partnerships. The initiative will support cutting-edge research in smart mobility, traffic management, precision medicine, AI, and robotics, among others.
