Dubai is set to grant long-term residency, known as the Golden Visa, to exceptional educators in its private schools and universities, according to an announcement made by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) on October 5. This initiative aims to recognize teachers who have made significant contributions to enhancing Dubai’s private education sector.

In a statement celebrating World Teachers’ Day, Dubai’s Crown Prince highlighted the importance of this gesture, expressing deep appreciation for the teachers who play a critical role in shaping the city’s future. He stated, “Educators are key partners in building tomorrow’s leaders and achieving the visionary goals of Dubai’s Education Strategy E33.”

The Golden Visa will be available to outstanding educators working in early childhood centers, private schools, and international higher education institutions across the emirate. Teachers will be selected based on their academic excellence, contributions to improving education quality, positive feedback from the education community, and their role in helping students achieve accredited qualifications.

This new initiative is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to attract talented educators, ensuring they contribute to the future of the city’s education landscape. Schools have been encouraged to ensure all necessary requirements are met before submitting applications through the KHDA’s e-Services system.
