Grand flag hoisting ceremony held at Indian embassy, Muscat

Over 500 members of Indian community participate; Indian School Boushe Students r present  patriotic songs.

MUSCAT The Embassy of India in Muscat celebrated the 75th Republic Day with a flag unfurling ceremony on the morning of January 26, 2024.

H.E Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman unfurled the National flag in the presence of over 500 participants, including members of the Indian community and guests.

The morning started with a floral tribute at the Gandhi Statue within the Embassy  by Ambassador Amit Narang and Ms Divya Narang, spouse of the Ambassador. Following this, the National Flag was unfurled, and the students of Indian School Bousher sang the national anthem.

The Ambassador read out excerpts from the President of India’s address to the nation on the eve of the Republic Day.

The event concluded with a presentation of patriotic songs by students from the Indian School Bousher.

In continuation of the Republic Day celebrations, a grand reception will be  hosted by the Embassy on Sunday evening, January 28, 2024.
