According to Kenyan government statistics, the floods have claimed at least 267 lives and caused significant devastation across multiple regions
India has sent additional relief consignments to Kenya, which has been severely impacted by devastating floods. On Tuesday, a military transport aircraft delivered 40 tonnes of medicines, medical supplies, and other essential equipment to assist those affected by the disaster.
This marks the second batch of humanitarian aid from India, following an earlier shipment sent last week.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted the effort on social media, stating, “The second tranche of HADR material containing 40 tonnes of medicines, medical supplies, and other equipment to assist flood victims leaves for Kenya. Standing up for a historical partnership, a Vishwabandhu to the world.”
