India issues travel advisory for Syria amid security concerns

The advisory serves as a precautionary measure to safeguard Indian citizens amid escalating uncertainties in the region

In light of the ongoing volatile situation in Syria, the Government of India has issued a travel advisory urging Indian nationals to refrain from traveling to Syria until further notice. The advisory underscores the importance of prioritizing personal safety and adhering to the guidelines provided.

Indian citizens currently residing in Syria are strongly advised to stay in regular contact with the Indian Embassy in Damascus.

For those unable to do so, the advisory stresses the importance of exercising the utmost caution, limiting movements to essential activities, and taking all necessary measures to ensure personal safety

Additionally, Indian nationals are encouraged to leave Syria at the earliest opportunity through available commercial flights.
