The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has issued a warning to Indian citizens residing in Saudi Arabia regarding fraudulent social media accounts and email addresses falsely claiming to offer assistance with travel arrangements from Saudi Arabia to India. These deceptive accounts often request money from unsuspecting individuals.

It stressed that all Indian Missions’ email IDs always end with the domain @mea.gov.in and provided the official Twitter account of the Embassy (@IndianEmbRiyadh) for reference

In an advisory, the embassy emphasized the importance of verifying the authenticity of any communication claiming to be from the embassy. It highlighted that the embassy has no association with the suspicious Twitter account and email address reported.

Furthermore, the advisory directed individuals to refer to the official contact information of the Embassy of India, available on their website, to ensure legitimacy.

It stressed that all Indian Missions’ email IDs always end with the domain @mea.gov.in and provided the official Twitter account of the Embassy (@IndianEmbRiyadh) for reference.
