Indian Embassy Muscat organises Yoga session on ship

Yoga enthusiasts in Muscat were treated to an exceptional experience as they participated in a yoga session aboard the Indian Navy Ship (INS) Sajag on Friday, December 1, 2023. The unique event brought together a select group of 25 yoga practitioners from Muscat and the dedicated crewmembers of the ship, creating an atmosphere described as rejuvenating and entirely new by the participants.

Acharya Manoranjan, a passionate yoga teacher based in Muscat, took the lead in conducting the session. Providing a brief introduction to Yoga, he emphasised, “Yoga is an assimilation of mind, body, and spirit. It has holistic benefits for individuals, society, and even humanity.” In a gesture of gratitude, he dedicated his yoga knowledge to Swami Niranjanand Saraswati of the Bihar School of Yoga.

 

The participants expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Indian embassy for orchestrating this unique opportunity. Reflecting on the experience, Manish from the Bank of Baroda said, “Thank you, Acharya and the Indian embassy, for arranging Yoga on the Indian Navy ship Sajag. It was a great experience.”

Gulnaz conveyed her appreciation, stating, “Thank you so much, Acharya sir, for this wonderful session, an unforgettable experience. Thanks to every participant who made this session more memorable. Looking forward to more events like this.”

Poonam shared her gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much, Acharya ji, and the Embassy of India, for this wonderful opportunity and experience to perform Yoga on Board at Sajag.”

Vir Vijay Singh expressed his appreciation, “I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the amazing opportunity to participate in Yoga on Board at Sajag. This experience has been wonderful, and I am grateful for the chance to engage in such a meaningful practice. Thank you for making it possible!”

 

Sandeep Kumar Srivastava said, “My sincere thanks to Acharyaji and the Indian embassy for providing this beautiful opportunity. It is going to be in memories over a long period.”

The sentiments were echoed by many participants, including Neelam Gill, Chinchu, Rajni, Indu Kaul, Jaya Srivastava, Karuna Dubey Bhatia, Manisha Singh, and Pratima Parida Beher, who all expressed gratitude for the enriching experience and the warm hospitality extended by INS Sajag and its staff.

The yoga session on board INS Sajag proved to be a memorable and enriching experience for Muscat’s yoga enthusiasts, fostering a sense of unity and well-being.
