Indian School Salalah Celebrates 100% Success in CBSE Exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the board exams from February 15th to April 2nd, with results announced on May 13th, 2024

Indian School Salalah has once again achieved an impressive 100% pass rate in the CBSE Class XII and X examinations held from February to April 2024, setting a new benchmark for academic excellence, according to a release posted on the school website.

A highlight of this year’s results is the outstanding performance of Miss Sadiya Katoon, the Class XII Science stream topper, who achieved a record score of 490/500 (98%), the highest in the history of ISS and the second-highest among Indian schools in Oman. The school also celebrated its numerous centum holders, including 12 perfect scores in Class X (ten in Malayalam, one in Standard Mathematics, and one in Arabic) and five perfect scores in Informatics Practices in Class XII.

Class XII Results

Indian School Salalah’s Class XII cohort, consisting of 162 students, showcased remarkable achievement across all streams—Science, Commerce, and Humanities.

Science Stream:

Topper: Miss Sadiya Katoon – 98%

Second Place: Master Neelesh Kumar Kataria – 97.4%

Third Place: Miss Vidula Mahesh Rao – 96.8%

30 students scored 90% and above.

90 students achieved distinctions (above 75%), and 12 secured first class (60-74%).

Commerce Stream:

Topper: Master Mohammed Nur Islam – 95.4%

Second Place: Master Rishi Arun Shukla – 94.4%

Third Place: Miss Diya R Vijesh – 93%

33 students achieved distinctions, and 13 secured first class.

Humanities Stream:

Topper: Miss Shalabha V – 94.2%

Second Place: Master Syed Rezin Maroof – 93.6%

Third Place: Master Bharadhoj Mundirikka – 92.6%

11 students achieved distinctions, and 3 secured first class.

Class X Results

Among the 231 Class X students, 62 achieved scores of 90% and above.

Top Performers:

Topper: Master Levin Joseph Thomas – 98.2%

Second Place: Master Luke Jose, Master Akhilesh Prakash, and Miss Bushra Huda – 97%

Third Place: Miss Zainab Fatima – 96.2%

160 students achieved distinctions, 56 secured first class, and 15 scored below 60%.

Commendations

Dr. Abubacker Siddique, President of the Indian School Salalah Management Committee, along with Dr. Mohammed Yousoof (Convenor & Chairman-Academic Subcommittee) and other SMC members, praised the students for their meticulous performance.
