India’s reopening auspicious for aviation and travel industry

Jyoti Mayal, President, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) mentioned that November 15 would be marked as an auspicious day for aviation and travel trade industry with the arrival for foreign tourists in India after almost two years.

She has congratulated the Indian government and expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi; Union Tourism Minister, G Kishan Reddy, and the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia for their support extended to the travel trade during the pandemic.

 

Hoping for resumption of commercial air traffic soon, Mayal, conveyed her greetings and best wishes to travel trade, and especially to travellers, and emphasised the need for safe, secured, and hassle-free travel

 

“Our members and customers have both faced the brunt of soaring airfares to travel abroad. With limited airlines options, no/ delay in visa processing, uninvited cancellations due to the fear of pandemic, businesses and travellers have suffered a lot,” she said.
