KV Abdul Nazar gets Dubai Golden Visa

The Founder and CMD of Akbar Group, KV Abdul Nazar has become the first Mumbai-based Malayali to receive a Dubai Golden visa for 10 years. Akbar Group is a conglomerate of more than two dozen companies including Akbar Travels, which is a leading travel agency in India.

A happy Nazar said, “I am happy to get this recognition and I want to thank the UAE authorities. We offer a wide range of services in the field, from airline and train ticketing to holiday packages and travel insurance in both online and offline mode. In UAE alone, we have 20 branches and more will come up in due course of time.”

The UAE authorities started issuing the Golden Visa in 2019. The visa allows foreigners to live, work, study, or do business in the Gulf country without the need for a national sponsor. Visa holders will also have 100 per cent ownership of their business in the main part of the UAE.

 

Currently, Akbar Travels has 57 IATA-approved Branches and 40 non-IATA offices all over India. The company has employed over 3,000 travel professionals with an annual turnover of INR 4,000 crore. In 2007, it started its online travel portal, akbartravelsonline.com

 

Golden visas are issued to those who have made outstanding contributions in various fields around the world, as well as to academics and professionals. The visa is valid for a period of five years to 10 years. Foreign investors who have invested Dh 1 million or more in the UAE are also eligible to receive a Golden Visa.
