Way of living
It has been a year of cohabiting with the coronavirus now. When wearing a mask should have become a ‘way of living’, you step outside and see the contrary, a vast majority within the eyeshot without a face mask. There could be just three possible explanations for this.
The first category of people who have ‘not been educated’ as to what the virus is, how it spreads, the extent of its symptoms, the statistics that tell us how many have lost their kith and kin to this Nano sized virus etc.
You can’t hold them accountable, for they are ‘unaware’ of the out-turn of their actions on themselves and the people around.
“So, how many more preventable deaths, state lockdowns, layoffs due to economic downturn, and mutants of the virus will take for us to understand to #MaskUp? That’s the least we owe to the frontline workers and our loved ones because in the current circumstances only ‘wearing shows caring’. Put up the mask for you and others”
Then there is the second probable category, the ‘educated, self-centered – Mr/ Miss know-it-alls’ who claim that the virus has bid us all adieu and often put their comfort before others…their own well-being. These are the people you lament for, because despite of being ‘conscious’ about the repercussions, they ‘choose’ to expose the vulnerable or high-risk people around them to a likelihood of contracting the virus. For their information the virus has spread like wildfire around the globe and is not yet over.
People of this category are also found saying absurd statements in favour of not wearing a mask.
The third type are those who behave simply immune to the coronavirus or rather think that the virus, to which almost 156k people in India & 2.46m globally have lost their lives, has got nothing to do with them.
