Filipino migrant workers across the globe have reason to cheer for the recognition they have got at the Dubai Expo 2020.
There is a Philippine pavilion dedicated to Filipino migrant workers in recognition to their hard work, politeness and brotherhood among Filipino workers.
The original duration of Dubai Expo 2020 was October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the dates have been rescheduled, and the new dates are October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

The delicately done pavilion showcases the 4,000-year journey of Filipinos, as the theme represents contemporary Filipinos and their ancestors who moved from one place to another and settled on half of the planet’s island during the Neolithic period.

Curator Marian Pastor Roces has done a great job by creating a storytelling and using representative flying structures, bird-like motifs and stunning murals.
The Philippines Pavilion is located at Expo 2020’s Sustainability District.
Ezra Santos, Dubai based Filipino celebrity fashion designer, has designed sustainable uniforms for the pavilion’s team to showcase Filipino craftsmanship at the Expo.
Dr Ramon Pagayon Santos has created the pavilion’s avant-garde musical score, while famous game developer James Palabay has created a mobile game Bangkota Trivia Quest, well suited for the Filipino community.
Go Lokal! and Marahuyo features give a cosmopolitan touch to the pavilion. They offer an impressive collection of Filipino fashion designer brands.
The organisers are expecting a huge turnout at the pavilion due to its design, charm, and overseas workers’ global appeal.
