NRI businessman sets up fund for Covid distress people

Dr B. Ravi Pillai set an example by setting up Rs 150 million for people affected by Covid-19.

Gulf-based RP Group chairman Dr B. Ravi Pillai set an example by setting up a fund for people affected by Covid-19. The fund will help people from Kerala and other expatriates.

 

Dr B. Ravi Pillai is an NRI and a reputed businessman in the Gulf region. He set up Rs 150 million fund that will be distributed among the deserving people immediately.

 

He said a sum of Rs five million would be distributed through Norka Roots among the expatriates who are struggling for the marriage of their daughters.

A foundation in the name of RP Foundation will use
The RP Foundation will use Rs 10 million for financial assistance to families facing severe financial crisis due to Covid-19. The beneficiaries from the foundation fund are financially strained widows and those who are finding it difficult to cover their medical expenses.
