OMAN: South India’s legendary singer Chithra to receive cultural award in Muscat

Padmabhushan KS Chithra, legendary singer from South India is to receive cultural awards in Muscat, Oman.

The award will be given marking Onam celebrations in Oman, where a large number of Indian diaspora from south India live.

Singer Chitra will be honoured with the Cultural Award by the Malayalam Wing of the Indian Social Club (ISC).

Famous flutist Rajesh Cherthala and his team will also perform on the occasion

The two-day Onam celebrations will start on September 23 at 6pm at Al Falaj Grand hall.

Chief Guest of the occasion will be Amit Naranag, Indian Ambassador to Oman, while Babu Rajendran, General Secretary of ISC will be the special guest of the event.

Famous flutist Rajesh Cherthala and his team will also perform on the occasion.
