India’s ambitious target regarding exports can be achieved only through a holistic and detailed action plan, said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi while asking the Indian envoys to popularise Indian products globally.
The Prime Minister did a video conference address with the heads of the Indian Missions abroad and exhorted them to be “vocal for local”.

Prime Minister Modi asked the heads of the Indian Missions to look for ways to promote ‘Brand India’ on the foundations of quality and reliability.

He called upon the stakeholders channelise efforts to take advantage of the new opportunities that India has created in recent years and the changes in the Global Supply Chain in the Post-Covid-19 global world.

He reminded the envoys that almost half of India’s exports were limited only to four major destinations, asking them to look for destinations and take new products to the world.
Addressing the envoys, the prime minister emphasised India’s ‘’Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-dependent India) plan and said the very purpose of this mission was to increase India’s share in exports manifold so that the fruits of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ plan could reach to the grassroots manufacturers.
