A Punjabi singer, Ranjit Singh Kahlon, also known as Ranjit Bath, and his nephew allegedly murdered the father of a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) woman after Bath was deported from Australia. The tragic incident unfolded after the woman’s complaint led to Bath’s deportation, which occurred twice in a span of a few months.
According to the police, Bath had been stalking the woman for several months. The woman, who is settled in Australia, reported that Bath was pressuring her to divorce her husband and marry him.

The situation escalated when Bath, under the influence of alcohol, threatened to kill the woman and her family. In response to her complaint, Australian authorities deported Bath in June this year. However, he returned to Australia in August, only to be deported again upon arrival.
On August 25, Bath, along with his nephew Gulli, allegedly murdered the woman’s 78-year-old father in Punjab. They disposed of the body by dumping it in the bushes along a roadside in the Dakha area. Later, Bath informed the woman about the murder through a WhatsApp message.

Inspector Kulwinder Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) at Dakha Police Station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered against Bath and his nephew under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the BNS. While Gulli has been apprehended, the police are actively searching for Bath, who is a resident of Bath Kalan village in Nakodar, Jalandhar.
