Key discussions focused on boosting trade, investment, and cooperation in arbitration between Sharjah and Kerala
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has engaged with the Indian state of Kerala to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation in key economic sectors. The discussions, which took place at the SCCI headquarters, centered around improving trade relations and fostering joint efforts in international commercial arbitration, reported msn.com.
Both sides explored ways to expand investment climate, trade exchanges, and collaborative projects.
The meeting, attended by key officials from both Sharjah and Kerala, including Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, and P. Rajeeve, Minister for Law, Industries and Coir in Kerala, delved into various areas of cooperation such as the economy, industry, and tourism.

Both parties discussed increasing interactions between investors and business leaders, aiming to exchange expertise and knowledge and explore joint investment projects. P. Rajeev extended an invitation to attend the Invest Kerala Global Summit 2025.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais praised the growing UAE-India relations, highlighting the UAE as the third-largest trading partner of India. He also noted that Sharjah and Kerala have significant investment opportunities, with events like the “Come on Kerala” exhibition offering a platform for showcasing business potential.
The meeting also covered the robust legal frameworks and regulatory environments in Sharjah and Kerala that attract foreign investment and foster business establishment. The Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre’s role in resolving commercial disputes and organizing related seminars was also discussed.
