Bhubaneswar-based IT entrepreneur, Siba Ranjan Biswal, was honored with the prestigious Best Non-Resident Odia Award at the 9th Parampara Award Ceremony in New Delhi. The award, presented by the Parichay Foundation at the Constitution Club, recognized Biswal for his outstanding contributions to the development of the Odia diaspora worldwide.
During the ceremony, Biswal received an ‘Uttariya’ and a memento from notable figures including former Union Minister KJ Alphons, former Justice of Patna High Court VN Sinha, and renowned artists Geeta Chandran and Ileana Citaristi. The event was presided over by former MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, with the presence of Dr. Rosalyn Patsani Mishra, the founder president of Parichay Foundation. Dhwani Jain conducted the proceedings of the ceremony.

Biswal is the founder of IT firms Essar Systems, UK, and Essar Systems India, established in 2021. Notably, Essar Systems provides free Odia language learning to students globally. The firm is poised to launch an online marketplace for women entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products and services worldwide.
In line with his commitment to cultural and spiritual initiatives, Biswal’s Essar Systems plans to develop a Virtual Anand Bazar, inspired by Lord Jagannath’s Bhoga Market in Puri. This virtual marketplace aims to deliver Prasad to devotees globally, ensuring the quality, freshness, and aroma are preserved. Additionally, in the healthcare sector, Essar is set to introduce “Our Hospital,” an online program allowing individuals to virtually interact with doctors and consultants for treatment and expert opinions.
