- This assistance aims to support the family during these difficult times.
- Rama Rao praised Srinivas for his generosity and encouraged more NRIs to engage in such charitable initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives
In a heartwarming example of philanthropy, Telangana NRI Srinivas Potti extended financial aid to a deserving medical student, inspired by the initiative of BRS working president KT Rama Rao. On Tuesday, Rama Rao, along with the family of Srinivas, presented the cheque to student B. Meghana and her parents at his residence in Nandinagar, Hyderabad.
Meghana, the eldest of three daughters born to B. Ramesh and Manjula, hails from a modest background. Her family runs a small tiffin center at the Government Hospital in Shadnagar.
In another act of generosity, Srinivas Potti also provided a cheque for Rs 50,000 to the family of Sika Prashanth, a young man from Station Ghanpur who passed away recently, leaving behind his wife and a three-year-old child
Despite their financial struggles, Meghana excelled academically and secured a coveted seat in medical school. However, her family was unable to cover the tuition fees. After learning about Meghana’s situation, KT Rama Rao pledged his support. This inspired Srinivas Potti to step forward, covering Meghana’s first-year tuition.
