Telangana I-T Minister KT Rama Rao, who is in the USA to seek business investments for the state, met NRI CEOs of over 30 companies to pitch for I-T companies to be set up in Tier-2 cities of Telangana, reported news9live.com.
KTR highlighted the growth of Tier-2 cities, such as Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar, after the state formation and said that IT towers were set up in each of these places, he said.
“Many NRIs have signed MOUs with the Telangana government to invest in Tier-2 cities like Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Siddipet among others.”

IT towers were also in various stages of construction/completion in other cities such as Adilabad, Siddipet, Nizamabad, Nalgonda.
He asked the NRIs to come and set up businesses in their hometowns and generate rural employment.
He said that the state government was committed to expand I-T across all cities of Telangana and was keen on providing opportunities to youth in cities other than Hyderabad.
The minister said that many of them signed MOUs with the Telangana government to invest in Tier-2 cities like Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Siddipet among others.
This could possibly generate 2,500 jobs in the IT sector in Tier-2 cities.
