The Saudi Tourism Authority has set its sights on India, aiming to elevate it as the leading source market for tourist influx, with ambitions to welcome 7.5 million Indian visitors within the next seven years.

In a concerted effort to bolster ties, the authority orchestrated networking events across major Indian cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi, engaging with key stakeholders in the travel industry.

Further amplifying its outreach, the Saudi Tourism Authority has inked agreements and fostered partnerships with various tour operators, travel associations, and event organizers during the networking sessions, underscoring its commitment to cultivating a robust tourism ecosystem between Saudi Arabia and India

Building upon recent successes, Saudi Arabia witnessed a remarkable 50% surge in Indian tourist arrivals in 2023 compared to the preceding year, with a notable 1.5 million Indians exploring the kingdom’s offerings. This surge has been accompanied by a significant uptick in air connectivity between the two nations, with a notable 31% increase in flights linking 12 major Indian cities to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam between 2019 and 2023.

Further amplifying its outreach, the Saudi Tourism Authority has inked agreements and fostered partnerships with various tour operators, travel associations, and event organizers during the networking sessions, underscoring its commitment to cultivating a robust tourism ecosystem between Saudi Arabia and India.
