It is easy now for the lakhs of Indians living in South Asian countries to connect with their motherland with the opening of Kushinagar Airport, said Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

“Now it is easy not only for the tourists from remote Buddhist countries but also for millions of Indians living in South Asian countries. They will no longer have to face difficulties to stay connected with the motherland,” the Chief Minister said.
The CM expressed hope that the number of international and inland flights from Kushinagar would increase, then this airport would become the basis of development of eastern Uttar Pradesh
He was talking to reporters at the airport on Wednesday. He said now long distance travel became easier. “Lakhs of people of Purvanchal and West Bihar and Nepal live in Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar. They had long and time-consuming journeys to stay connected to their soil. Now they will land directly at their home airport.”
He thanked Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was present in the press conference, and said that he has announced flights to Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The CM expressed hope that the number of international and inland flights from Kushinagar would increase, then this airport would become the basis of development of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
