Amrita Atul Deshmukh, alumnus of 2017 batch of the Indian School Al Ghubra , will be the proud recipient of the Thomas Clarkson Gold Medal in the Law Category at the Global Undergraduate Awards 2021.
This award, also known as the Junior Nobel Prize, is a multi-disciplinary undergraduate competition that recognises the work that brings a positive change in the society.
She is currently studying at Symbiosis Law School, Pune for a five-year integrated course in BBA LLB (HONS).

She is currently studying at Symbiosis Law School, Pune for a five-year integrated course in BBA LLB (HONS). Her research paper titled ‘Intersection of Space Laws and Intellectual Property Rights: A Narrative on Space Sustainability’ will be presented by her between November 16 and 17
Her paper deals with the intersection of the two laws by identifying the challenges that exist in achieving Space Sustainability in the era of commercialisation of Space. She has proposed solutions to combat these challenges through the effective use of Intellectual Property to ensure sustainable growth in Space.
Amrita made it to the Top 10% as a Highly Commended Entrant in the Law Category and went on to be the Regional Winner and was finally declared the Global Winner.
