A delegation of leaders from India and Australia met Dr Sushil Kumar, the Indian Consul General in Melbourne, reported babushahi.
The delegation included senior Congress leaders Pawan Dewan, Gurmail Singh Pehalwan and Sunil Dutt, Jaspal Dhillon, Media Coordinator to former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, local Indian origin community leaders Sunny Dat, Aloke Kumar and Akash Kumar.
The leaders had a fruitful discussion with the Consul General about the Indian Diaspora living in Australia, particularly in the city of Melbourne.
“Indians are looked upon with respect for their honesty, integrity and hard work.”
The Indian delegation told the Consul General that there was greater curiosity among Indian students to study in various Australian universities.
The delegation was told that the Indian origin community had done pretty well in Australia and the Indians were looked upon with respect for their honesty, integrity and hard work.
The delegation expressed its gratitude to Dr Kumar for being supportive and cooperative to the Indian Diaspora, which keeps on facing various issues.
The local leaders said that the Indian Consul General’s office has always been appreciative and understanding of the issues faced by them.
