Indian-origin British YouTuber, Arun Rupesh Maini, also known as Mrwhosetheboss, has made history by setting a Guinness World Record for creating the world’s largest smartphone replica. The impressive 6.74-foot tall iPhone 15 Pro Max was a collaborative project with DIY expert Matthew Perks, the creator behind DIYPerks. The oversized iPhone was built to mark a significant personal milestone for Maini—surpassing Apple’s official YouTube channel in terms of subscribers.

“We DID IT. To celebrate overtaking Apple in subscribers, we built the largest, most powerful iPhone on the planet. So much work from so many people has gone into this; you’re going to want to see the YouTube video—it’s live now,” Arun shared on Instagram, expressing his excitement after achieving the feat.

The giant iPhone is more than just a replica—it boasts 128GB of RAM, an AMD 6950 XT dedicated graphics card, and a 24-core Intel i9 processor. It also includes advanced features such as 25x optical zoom and the ability to record 8K video

Reflecting on the achievement, Arun said, “It feels like a full-circle moment. I’m so proud of both our team and Matt for pulling off something that’s never been done before.” He also expressed the surreal nature of receiving a Guinness World Record, noting that he had spent hours as a child reading about record-breaking feats in the library.
