NRIs find investment opportunities in UP; 32 NRIs to invest Rs 1045 crore in different projects

Investment and NRI, Siddharth Nath Singh personally contacted all the prospective investors through Indian foreign offices, embassies and consulates.

At least 32 NRIs from the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh have shown investment interest in their own State. They have sent investment proposals to the State, which has taken note of them and started doing studies.

The investment proposals are worth Rs 1045 crore. The Minister for MSME, Investment and NRI, Siddharth Nath Singh, personally contacted all the prospective investors through Indian foreign offices, embassies and consulates.

The NRI minister also talked about NRI cards to those who are from Uttar Pradesh. He assured special facilities to the NRIs. About 540 NRI cards have already been issued

According to the NRI minister, the department of Invest UP will study these proposals and work to take them on the ground.

To streamline the issues related to the NRIs, a portal has already been launched. The portal is proving to be helpful in connecting with the NRIs.

Commenting on the investment scenario from NRIs, Siddharth Nath Singh said, “We are working continuously and getting a very good response. We are able to get investments even during the Covid pandemic. We are able to connect with the Indian diaspora from Uttar Pradesh through Indian embassies. A list of 3,064 people was prepared by contacting 116 Indian embassies.”

The minister claimed to have explained to the prospective NRI investors about changing development scenario in Uttar Pradesh and they were convinced about the changes.
