Oman, 19 other Indian missions abroad will now have dedicated tourism officers

The Government of India has decided to post dedicated tourism officers in Oman and other 19 countries to boost the India’s branding prospects.

To promote India’s culture and heritage in foreign nations and boost the country’s branding prospects, 20 Indian missions abroad, where there is large tourist footfall, will now have dedicated tourism officers. Union Minister tourism and culture G Kishan Reddy said.

He, however, made it clear that vaccination against Covid-19 and tourism would go hand in hand in the current scenario.

Articles in magazines, newspapers etc will be written to promote the brand Incredible India. According to a letter from MEA, the countries where these officers have been designated are Australia, Canada, China, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Japan, UK, Oman, Singapore and the US, among others.
