Sharing the momentous occasion on social media, McCaffrey greeted India with a warm Namaste and expressed his eagerness to begin his role with enthusiasm and a touch of uniqueness. Taking over from Sarah Storey, McCaffrey looks forward to fostering robust ties and collaboration between Australia and India.
Green in an interview with CNBC-TV18 earlier said that “every global economy is interested in engaging with India.”
In a tweet, he shared his excitement, stating, “Terrific to start as Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner in India, replacing the irrepressible Sarah Storey. Look forward to working with #TeamAustralia in India, under the leadership of @AusHCIndia Philip Green.”
Green in an interview with CNBC-TV18 earlier said that “every global economy is interested in engaging with India.” He noted that Australia holds a unique position in this engagement due to its abundant reserves of minerals, metals, critical minerals, and energy resources, which can significantly contribute to driving India’s economic growth.
