Dubai’s real estate market has huge appeal among Indian investors
By the end of 2022, Indian nationals had become the largest foreign buyers of properties in Dubai, holding real estate valued at $29.1 billion. This marks a significant increase from $23.7 billion in 2020. Despite a slight decrease in the number of properties owned by Indians—from 36,660 in 2020 to 35,197 in 2022—the overall value of their investments surged.
These findings come from the EU Tax Observatory, an independent research institution associated with the Paris School of Economics. The Observatory’s report, titled “Foreign Investment in the Dubai Housing Market, 2020-2024,” was released on May 15.
The increase in investment value suggests a preference for higher-value properties or strategic acquisitions among Indian buyers
According to the report, Indians lead the list of foreign property owners in Dubai, followed by nationals from the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
This trend highlights the growing appeal of Dubai’s real estate market among Indian investors, reflecting a robust investment trajectory despite the slight dip in property numbers.
