An Indian immigrant in Canada has sparked widespread outrage after sharing a video on social media, teaching people how to scam local grocery stores. The video, originally posted by an individual identified as NiSu P. on Instagram, shows him explaining how to swap price tags on apples to save money. The man, speaking in Gujarati, casually describes the process of replacing a higher-priced tag with a lower one to cheat the store, reported HT.
Many users are outraged, stating that such behavior damages the reputation of the larger immigrant community. One user on X commented, “This should be grounds for automatic deportation. People like this add zero value to our country and make good immigrants look bad.”
The video quickly gained attention after being shared on X (formerly Twitter), where users began paraphrasing the contents. One X user, who understands Gujarati, translated the man’s words as, “Let me teach you how to save money. This one is 2.49. This one is 3.49. Don’t worry, just swap the stickers, and take the apple for 2.49.”
While NiSu P.’s Instagram account has since disappeared, the video continues to circulate on social media, drawing heavy criticism.
