10th BRICS policy planning dialogue held in Brasilia

Policy planners from BRICS nations and new members convened to discuss global geopolitical challenges and institutional development.

The 10th BRICS Policy Planning Dialogue took place in Brasilia on March 24-25, 2025, with representatives from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, along with senior officials from the expanded BRICS membership. The dialogue focused on key global and regional developments, institutional strengthening, and strategic cooperation.

Strengthening BRICS Amid Global Challenges

The Indian delegation was led by Mr. Raghuram S, Joint Secretary (Policy Planning & Research), MEA.

Discussions covered a wide range of geopolitical and economic issues, emphasizing BRICS’ role in shaping global governance.

Brazil Leads BRICS Presidency

As the current BRICS President, Brazil hosted the Policy Planning Dialogue as part of its preparations for the upcoming BRICS Summit later this year.

The discussions reinforced BRICS’ commitment to strengthening multilateralism and enhancing cooperation among member nations.
