17,000 Indian students can go back to Australia soon

Covid disrupted the lives of Indian students studying in foreign universities. One of the most affected lot of students were those who had enrolled in Australian universities. According to Indian Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday who recently held a virtual meeting with his Australian counterpart Alan Tudge, 17,000 Indian students want to return to Australia to catch up on their studies.

 

Australia has approved the India-made Covishield vaccine for travelling into the country

 

The two Ministers said that both countries were committed to support the Australia-bound students. The Australian minister spoke about the steps being taken by the Australian government to ease the return of Indian students to Australia.

With announcement from Australia about the reopening of international travel and the easing of border restrictions, it is now certain that the 17,000 students will be able to go back to Australia. Additionally, Australia has approved the India-made Covishield vaccine for travelling into the country.
