Madurai students embark on a trip to Sriharikota to explore India’s space research facilities and inspire scientific curiosity
A delegation of 32 Class XI students — 20 girls and 12 boys — departed for an educational tour of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday. The team was flagged off at the airport by Madurai Corporation Commissioner Chitra Vijayan, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
The tour, organized by Madurai Corporation and Rotary Club Madurai Midtown, aims to ignite scientific interest and provide firsthand exposure to India’s space research initiatives
The group comprises students from various corporation and private schools, accompanied by their teachers. This initiative follows a similar program last month, when the corporation sent 10 students to the Science Centre in Hyderabad, reflecting ongoing efforts to promote STEM education and practical learning experiences among school students in Madurai.
