Bosch has given a makeover to its headquarters in Adugodi, Bengaluru and turned it into a new smart campus called Spark NXT. Bosch has invested INR 800 crore to develop the campus. Bosch’s first smart campus in the country, Spark NXT features smart solutions based on sustainability, security, and user experience for associates, visitors and facility management, reported ET.
The campus, inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai, has a potential capacity to accommodate 10,000 associates.
“This campus will take the lead in developing futuristic products and solutions for India and for the world. I urge Bosch to think of doing more in India and set goals for the next 25 years,” the Prime Minister said.

“The Spark. NXT campus will provide inspiring working conditions for associates to focus on the development of user-centric innovations for a better quality of life in India,” Filiz Albrecht, member of the board of the management and director of Industrial Relations at Robert Bosch GmbH with responsibility for India, said. The company has invested INR 50 crore to reduce energy consumption at the Adugodi campus. The campus will meet up to 85% of its total energy needs with in-house solar panels and the purchase of green group captive power.
Almost two-thirds of annual domestic water demand at Bosch in India is set to be met through rainwater harvesting projects. Further, enhanced green cover with 9-million liter capacity underground tanks for rainwater harvesting will reduce water demand by 60%. Bosch has applied multiple smart, sustainable and user-friendly solutions that move the campus towards the future of work.
