UAE Golden visa: NRI entrepreneur Vedanta Barua gets 10-year special visa

Barua happens to be the first Assamese to get this visa

A native of the Indian state of Assam, Non-Resident-Indian (NRI) entrepreneur Vedanta Barua is delighted over getting a Golden Visa of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

With this, he happens to be the first Assamese to get this visa.

According to UAE Immigration Information sources, “In 2019, the UAE implemented a new system for long-term residence visas. The new system enables foreigners to live, work, and study in the UAE without a national sponsor and 100 per cent ownership of their business on the UAE’s mainland. These visas will be issued for 5 or 10 years and will be renewed automatically.”

Apart from entrepreneurs, doctors, researchers, scientists, and artists can also apply for this visa.

Barua belongs to the Dibrugarh district in Assam. He came first to the UAE in 2006. Now working as CEO of Burns Brett Massoud Insurance LLC, Barua can stay in the country till June to 22 June 2031. He is the CEO of Burns Brett Massoud Insurance LLC.

The visa that has been granted to Barua falls under special visa in the investor class by the country’s Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
