GOPIO hosts Basant Panchami in Myanmar

The Global Organization of Peoples of Indian Origin (GOPIO) orchestrated a captivating Basant Panchami celebration at the India Centre in Yangon, Myanmar. With over 150 attendees from diverse backgrounds, the event highlighted the vibrant tapestry of Indian culture and tradition.

Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, graced the occasion as the chief guest, joined by distinguished guests including Shri Lanka Ambassador to Myanmar J M Priyantha Bandra and Ruth Zakh, representing the Affairs of Israel in Myanmar.

Attendees praised GOPIO’s commitment to fostering cultural appreciation and camaraderie, culminating in a delightful dinner featuring delectable Indian cuisine

Under the guidance of Roli Jain and her dedicated team, the evening unfolded with mesmerizing performances ranging from traditional Indian dances to soulful bhajans.

Ambassador Vinay Kumar emphasized the profound significance of Basant Panchami in Indian culture, fostering unity and tradition.
