The University of Melbourne has launched its first Global Centre in India, located in Delhi, marking a significant step toward enhancing educational and research collaborations between Australia and India.

According to Philip Green, Australia’s High Commissioner to India, the centre will act as a hub for strengthening ties in education and research, promoting collaboration that benefits both nations economically and socially.

Michael Wesley, the university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, emphasized that the centre will also host cultural performances, art exhibitions, and lecture series, serving as a bridge between the two countries

The Melbourne Global Centre-Delhi aims to connect Indian corporations, industries, and academic institutions with the university’s expertise.
