“Had the honour to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji,” Srinivas wrote, revealing that their discussion centered on the potential for AI adoption in India and globally. He lauded the Prime Minister’s commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and his visionary approach to the future.
Expressing his admiration, Srinivas added, “Modi Ji’s dedication to understanding AI and his remarkable vision for its integration is truly commendable.” He also shared a picture of the two, smiling as they shook hands, marking the memorable occasion.

The journey of Aravind Srinivas
Aravind Srinivas began his career as an intern at OpenAI before moving on to DeepMind and Google. He later returned to OpenAI as a research scientist. In 2022, he co-founded Perplexity AI with Andy Konwinski, Denis Yarats, and Johnny Ho. Apart from being the CEO, Srinivas is also an angel investor, focusing on AI-driven ventures.
An alumnus of IIT Madras, Srinivas holds dual degrees in B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering. He pursued his PhD in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and currently resides in San Francisco, United States.
Srinivas’ achievements reflect the growing influence of Indian-origin leaders in the global tech space and underscore the potential of AI as a transformative tool for India’s future.
