India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Taliban’s acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Dubai on Wednesday, marking the first official meeting between the two parties. The Indian delegation reaffirmed its commitment to support Afghanistan’s health sector and refugee rehabilitation efforts, reported hindustantimes.com.

The two sides discussed cooperation in trade and regional developments, notably promoting the use of Chabahar port in Iran for trade and humanitarian aid. India is set to continue its humanitarian aid, having already provided significant relief, including wheat, medicines, vaccines, and winter clothing. Both sides agreed to strengthen their diplomatic ties and engage in future development projects.
